Nawaka (Victorian Tiny House)

Nawaka (Victorian Tiny House)

Shorty Robbins

FULL BIO
Nawaka was designed and built by Shorty Robbins with occasional help from her friends for some heavy lifting. Built on a modified boat trailer from structural insulated panel systems (SIPS), Shorty’s home is 90% recycled and reused materials and furnishings. On a more personal note, she has been a living historian for most of her life, so the original intent of Nawaka was to replace the tent home she set up at events, interpreting the lives of the women and children during the mid- to the late 19th century.  As the build progressed, the tiny house became a real home, and she moved in full-time in June 2017.
Tiny House Chapel

Tiny House Chapel

Tiny Chapel Weddings

FULL BIO

Bill Malbon, an ordained minister who owns the Tiny Chapel On Wheels, wanted to build a larger house of worship that would accommodate 200 people. But the recession squashed his plans. Things got back on track when he learned about the tiny house movement. That’s when he decided to downsize his original dream.

After doing some research, Malbon hired Build Tiny, a Virginia business that specializes in constructing microstructures. A short time later, Tiny Chapel Weddings came into being.
